Basic Verbs

Here are some basic ways to use verbs.

Point 1: Questions
  1. What do you eat for breakfast?
  2. Where do you eat lunch?
  3. When do you eat dinner?
  4. Who do you talk to?
  5. How do you get to work?
  6. Why do you study English?
Point 2: Affirmative
  1. I eat toast and fruit.
  2. I work at home.
  3. I live near the station.
Point 3: Negative
  1. I do not eat cereal.
  2. I do not work in town.
  3. I do not live by my work.
Point 4: Negative Contraction
  1. I don't eat cereal.
  2. I don't work in town.
  3. I don't live by my work.
Point 5: Yes / No Questions

Do you eat at home?

  1. Yes, I do. / Yes, I eat at home.
  2. No, I don't. / No, I don't eat at home.
